Graduate Students
Labs at Penn State cannot directly accept graduate students- you must be admitted through a graduate program. Dr. Keiler is a faculty member of three graduate programs:
•Biochemistry, Microbiology, and Molecular Biology (BMMB)
•The Intercollegiate Graduate Program in Genetics link
•The Huck Institute for Life Science (HILS) Cell and Developmental Biology Program
If you are in one of these programs and would like to set up a rotation, contact Dr. Keiler at kkeiler@psu.edu.
Undergraduate Students
The Keiler lab has openings for undergraduates working on honors or BMB/MICRB 496 projects for the summer of 2008. Preference will be given to students who have spent time in the lab and have made an effort to understand what is going on. There are three ways to do this: the best is to take a position as a wage payroll or work study student; you can also attend our group meetings and journal clubs, or talk to members of the lab about their work.
