Extra Credit Exercises for BMB400

Exercise 1 is a suggested guide to looking at common and distinctive enzymatic activities in replication, repair and recombination.
This is due no later than Oct 25 (Friday), and is worth 5 points.

Exercise 2 takes you a little deeper into the analysis of the Okazaki data. This is due no later than Oct 25 (Friday), and is worth 5 points.

Exercise 3 is an opportunity to explore 3-D structure/function relationships for your choice of a replication complex, MutH and MutS, or RecA. You can get up to 10 points (i.e. extra credit can be obtained for only one). This is due no later than Nov. 15 (Friday).

Exercise 4 explores protein-DNA interactions in transcriptional control. It is due Dec. 13, Friday, by the end of class.
